Dr. Emma Norris grew up in Middle Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia, the youngest of three. She graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with an Advanced Major in Chemistry in 2010, and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2014. While in optometry school, Dr. Norris completed an externship in ocular disease at VisionAmerica in Huntsville, and Florence, Alabama, with extensive exposure to glaucoma management. Dr. Norris is passionate about providing eyecare to those in need and was a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity for four years, and volunteered on an eye care mission to Portoviejo, Ecuador, in 2011.
Dr. Norris was awarded the Dr. W. Ross Andrews Prize for Clinical Proficiency, the J. C. Thompson Memorial Prize for Optometry, the Alcon Award for Excellence in Contact Lenses, the prize for Academic Excellence in Ocular Pharmacology and the Dr. John G. Flanagan Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence in Glaucoma.
Dr. Norris is thrilled to join Windsor Vision Centre. She holds a special interest in pediatric and children’s eyecare and in the management of ocular disease.
Dr. Norris is married and lives in Larry Uteck with her husband, Devon, and their goldendoodle, Charlie. In their spare time they enjoy golfing, spending time at the cottage, and enjoying time with family and friends.
